Chris Haggart set to join The Broker Investment Group as Group CEO

Peter Cullum, Executive Chairman, The Broker Investment Group (TBIG), announces the appointment of Chris Haggart as the new Group CEO.

The business continues to grow at pace, both organically and by strategic regional broker acquisitions with significant growth in the MGA Division.

As such, it has become necessary to review the current structure and people responsibilities to ensure the business has the strength in depth to take full advantage of market opportunities.  Dave Clapp has worked tirelessly to help grow the portfolio over the past four years achieving great success building a formidable group of brokers but has recognised that the demands of the business requires more than his current 4 days per week.

Following an internal review it was agreed by the Board to appoint a new Group CEO and appoint Dave Clapp to the position of Deputy Chairman working alongside Peter Cullum and the new Group CEO on macro strategic issues and head up the M&A team.

Chris Haggart is currently CEO of the Hedron Network, part of Brown & Brown, looking after 180 broker members with a total premium in excess of £1bn and recognises the challenges facing brokers in the current market and is fully aware of what is required to deliver results and grow a broking business.
